Nic Andriessen
Director of Athletic Performance

After playing professional rugby league in my teens and early 20s and retiring through injury I found my competitive outlet through powerlifting.

Over 18 years of coaching, I've guided clients to break through strength plateaus and achieve personal records they once thought impossible.

However, my journey has evolved. Though I no longer powerlift due to another injury, my passion for athletic performance remains. Now, my focus is on helping clients move better in and out of the gym, minimise injury risk, and become fitter, stronger, and faster. Whether you’re aiming to excel in powerlifting or seeking to enhance your performance in other sports, I’m dedicated to designing personalised programs that elevate your performance and cater to your unique goals.

By teaching proper techniques, designing and implementing a targeted program, providing you with a community of like-minded athletes while pushing you to grow and giving you the tools you need to take responsibility and autonomy in your journey.

Emma Andriessen
CEO & Accredited Sports Nutritionist

Everybody who trains or plays a sport should eat like an athlete and I am here to help you do that!

I am a passionate Sports Nutritionist studying for my Bachelor of Nutrition through Torrens University (dietetics pathway). I will then embark on my journey to study for my Masters in Dietetics, with the end goal of becoming a Sports Dietitian. I have been coaching for the last six years. I take an evidence-based approach and help create balance within my client's nutrition, cultivating a healthy relationship with food, facilitating long term behaviour change and prioritising overall health allowing my clients to fuel and thrive.

My nutrition philosophy is to treat each athlete/client as the unique individual they are. No two people are the same and many different factors play a role when it comes to creating a nutrition strategy. I believe it's important to consider nutrition not only from a performance or body composition perspective but also from a physiological and psychological health perspective to optimise overall well-being and results. I believe you need to enjoy your nutrition plan to be able to stick to it while I know a performance nutrition plan will make you a better athlete wether you want to win your game, race, hit a PB in the gym, secure a qualifier, podium or take out a world record!

I understand the role structured nutrition plays when it comes to reaching your performance based goals. I know how important it is to periodise your nutrition through different seasons to get you the best results. Studying my bachelor degree has taught me how important good nutrition is to optimise health and the role this plays in achieving your strength and performance goals. This is why I take a health first approach and consider so much more than just your macronutrients as a healthy body and mind respond better and see far better results.
